Chatham Nurseries, Inc., was founded by the late Norris R. Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson Denmark in 1959. It was one of the first nurseries in the Southeast to grow plants and trees in containers. In January, 1995, Victoria Johnson Blocker and her husband, Tony, purchased the nursery, enabling the nursery to continue as a family owned business.
