I learned about Al's when I was commuting to Woodburn for work about 10 years ago. I have been shopping there ever since. They are by far the best Garden Center in Oregon. The variety of plants is amazing and the quality the same. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the plants. Parking is great and the building is handicap accessible.
I look for unusual plants for my yard and I always find something new to add to my garden and prices are within the range of my limited budget. If you find you have a free afternoon and have time to spend browsing (It takes a little time but there is so much to see), I suggest you visit Al's and see what you can find to add to your garden.
I live in Portland and drive to shop there often. For me, it's worth the hour drive from Portland to get there.
