I have been doing business with backbone since we moved to marble falls. I will no longer do business with them again due to the extreme rudeness and incompetence of 2 mangers a certain Craig and Molly and 1 rude employee. On 4/2/2017 I went to backbone nursery and bought 2 flats of sundial orange portulaca. Before I purchased them I asked if they would be able to get me another flat or 2 if I needed them. That employee said that they would check and see, they came back and said they could get them but it would have to wait till the next week. I said that would be fine. I waited till the 4/16/2017 to call and check they said that they were in and apologized for not calling. I drove out there and when they showed me the ones that they had tapped off for me I could see they were the wrong color. I could not remember the color name so I drove back home and got the tag that gives the specific color and drove back out. The lady I dealt with was rude but said she would order them again.

I drive all the way from San Antonio to peruse the awesome selection and buy plants from this nursery. They have many natives, and all plants are well marked with great informational signs. The selection of exotics is also great. I buy Japanese maples, and they always have varieties that work in our climate. Any staff member who meets you while you are browsing always asks if they can help you or anwer any questions. The prices are competitive with other well-run and well-stocked nurseries in the area.
