The location you plant these things has a great deal to do with their survival. Protection from the elements is vital,as well as how well you keep them mulched. Tender perennials planted next to the house and given a 3" layer of mulch stand a much better chance of surviving the winter. Planting early in the season also helps to establish a deeper better root system. The idea is to get them planted in the spring so they can be well established by the frost. this is important to their survival.

This is a great little family nursery. Not only is it family owned but the entire family works there It is a slow paced one on one kind of place so go when you have plenty of time.. They take the time to actually speak to you and make sure your questions are answered. Nothing ticks me off more than bad service but you won't have to deal with that at this place . They have loads of weird plants as well. Some things I have never seen before. It is a great little place that I would recommend .
