Charlie Meyers got his start in the nursery business working at Hughes Nursery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After moving from Readlyn, Iowa, Charlie and Eva Meyers started Meyers Nursery in 1932 at the current location of the "old" Canfield Airport on Independence Avenue in Waterloo. As life continued, their son Bud eventually took over the business.

my wife and I were riding our bikes and stopped here to look around. I thought it was just a place for landscapers to buy wholesale but I was wrong. The variety of plants Meyers has varies from 35' Palms and Holly trees to climbing vines, bougainvillea, to any garden plant you can imagine. If you like one of a kind garden sculptures, patio furniture made from stone or petrified wood this is the place to visit. The help is very knowledgeable and helpful. Give them a chance you will not be disappointed.

This is now my #1Garden Center. The variety of plants is mindboggling. The pricing is fair and better than big stores that have nursery centers. Their service and personnel is phenomenal. If you are looking for unique garden pots, plants and patio pieces this is the place to go.
