Between 10 and 20 years ago, I ordered $50 worth of nursery stock each year from Vernon Barnes and Sons Nursery. I ordered mostly apple trees. About half of them survived over the years and are vigorously producing fruit each year now. The only reason the other half didn't survive was because they were not cared for properly such as the deer got to some because they were not fenced in properly, the moles killed some because the trunks were not properly wrapped in the winter, some froze out in the severe winters, and some were destroyed in strong winds from spring and summer storms. But overall I can say I am I very satisfied customer and very pleased with the sales and service that Vernon Barnes & Sons has provided me over the years.

My family and I have ordered thousands of plants from this family of nurseryman and we are Very Pleased with the quality of service and the plants.

I have had extremely poor customer service. When I called about some plants I was sent I was told that they would call - no call. Plants that were sent were suppose to be one thing and something. Raspberry that was sent was suppose to be a variety called Heritage - turned out to be something I had never seen. Sweet Cherry trees turned out to be wild cherries other stuff was okay - but nothing to write home about. wouldn't waste my money again
